Did not arrive till after 10:30am, but had almost immediate hits on red-cockated woodpeckers and a singing bachman's sparrow. Water levels remain low, so waders were sparce, but varied. Several pairs of least terns are using exposed islands, created by the low water levels, at Webb Lake for nesting. Also had about a dozen active, vocal common nighthawks enjoying a mid-day flight.
